🧳 1. Documentation and requirements
To participate in Desert Days, you need to bring a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity, your driver’s license (the national one is sufficient, but the international one is recommended), and the motorcycle’s documentation, including registration and valid insurance. It is also highly recommended to have travel and roadside assistance insurance for any eventuality during the route. Remember to bring photocopies of all documents and keep them separate from the originals for security.
You will need the motorcycle’s documentation: registration and current insurance valid for Morocco. If you own the motorcycle, make sure that both are in your name and in order. If you are not the owner and are going to use a borrowed or rented motorcycle, you will also need a written authorization from the owner and for the motorcycle to have valid insurance in your name or that covers the authorized driver. This ensures that you can legally drive in Morocco and cover any eventuality during the route.
To participate in Desert Days, it is mandatory to have medical and travel insurance that covers motorized activities, including roadside assistance, accidents, and repatriation. We especially recommend IATI Seguros, which offers specific coverage for motorized trips and guarantees peace of mind throughout the adventure in Morocco.

It is not mandatory, but highly recommended, especially in the desert stages or long sections, to stay hydrated while driving.
